Our easy access yard is clean, tidy and designed to get you in and out as quickly as possible.  With a covered drive-in non-ferrous drop off zone,  a friendly team ready to help you unload, and all the appropriate safety procedures and gear, getting paid for your scrap metal is a hassle-free experience.  We recycle all types of scrap metal.  Whiteware, cars, farm machinery, mag wheels, tapware, roofing iron, old ladders, basically anything that is metal.  Our pick up service is available for the greater Otago region.

Michael is a hardworking, reliable and friendly trade rep and site manager. Born and bred in Dunedin, getting things done is what he does best.  With a background as an auto electrician and also as a regional transport manager, Michael is a very practical and grounded rep who always finds a way to get his clients scrap metal recycled.  A true believer in the difference recycling makes to the environment, he loves the responsibility of educating Dunedin that scrap metal does not have to end up in a landfill or on the side of the road, and that Sims Pacific Metals can collect or pick it up and even pay for it.  A big Highlanders fan and proud owner of a Harley Davidson which he takes for a cruise when he gets time.

COVID-19 Alert

From Thursday, the 14th of May, Sims Pacific Metals will be able to resume door trade with all of our customers. This means you will be able to bring your scrap metal in for recycling and payment.

The safety of our customers and employees remains a high priority and in accordance with government protocol, we will be adhering to all level 2 conditions. This includes social distancing of 2 meters while at any of our branches, and given the risks of sharing personal protective equipment, it will be appreciated if customers could please ensure they are wearing closed footwear (no jandals or exposed toes) and bring their own gloves & PPE.

We acknowledge that our processes may create some temporary inconveniences, however, the ongoing health and well-being of all persons associated with Sims Pacific Metals remains our primary focus.
